There’s a lot of smoke and mirrors out there around this subject, so let us tell you as simply as possible what we are doing without all the charts, graphs and pictures of forests and animals

Compostable resealable bags.

The resealable pouches that our teas come in are home compostable and will degrade in your garden’s compost area within one year (faster if you want to send them to your city’s industrial composting centres). We are the ONLY tea brand that uses this compostable packaging. 

Recyclable & Compostable boxes.

Our boxes can be fully recycled or composted, but we’ve designed them to be so stunning that you’ll keep them for as long as possible, which is even better for the environment.

Coffee is a thirsty old thing compared with tea.


Producing a single cup of coffee requires 136 litres of water - more than five times the amount needed to produce a cup of tea. The difference is mainly due to the quantities of water needed to grow the crops, but coffee's footprint also includes the water used to soak the beans in order to remove a gelatinous outer layer. We found this out from the good people at Friends of the Earth, who put together a report which estimates how much land and water are used in the production of everyday goods.
